TICKS, FLEAS & IGNORANCE–RURAL ARKANSAS

My partner just got back from seeing her mother in her home state of Arkansas–she quickly remembers why she left in the first place.  To say that being ignorant is a compliment and it is ones best qualities is no joke.  Racist, hateful and hanging in the past is one of the qualities that the locals seem to exist on.  The ticks and fleas were a constant reminder of the battle one goes through just to stay on top of the “pick the ticks off adventure”; it is a daily ritual that one needs a buddy to check in places that cannot be seen.

Ni..er, ni..er that is so rampant in the vocabulary it is ugly and honey  they will not vote if the ni..er is nominated.    I won’t go any further with that ignorance or hate–ticks, fleas and mosquito’s are enough to keep me away for awhile.  Check this out, they have a yearly mosquito festival in the community–think I’ll avoid that one.

VEGAS DEBACLE–HEP C AND MORE

Awhile ago I told the story of the “DIRTY SYRINGES AND UNHEALTHY MEDICAL PROCEDURES” performed by quite a few clinics here in Vegas.  Patients still don’t have their records back that were confiscated by the police, the record keeping at the clinics was abominable.  People are sick and it is going to take some time to bring the culprits to justice, if it ever happens.  $26 million is what Senator Harry Reid wants from Congress to take care of things here in his home state, for the greed that has hurt many and profited by a few.  My thought is why not get the $’s from the owners of the clinics and the Doctors who ran the clinics;  use that money to take care of things?  $26 million is just a drop in the bucket for “Demon Dr. Desai”; he sits on the boards of many different companies, banks, real estate corporations, insurance companies and the medical review board of this State.  Don’t you think he has the bucks?  How many statues of Gods does he need to build in his native land of India?  (If that read like it was hateful, it was–but he is an American and I was trying to be hurtful)

There are lots of sick people left hanging, can’t get their records and have to pay out pocket for this BS.  Enough I say, going off to explore the mountains and then go find some information at the Earth Day Faire in glorious Las Vegas Nevada.

This is the case of the Ice Cream Truck owner and flash backs of an Albanian prison…Read the full “justifiable ” shooting of this woman in the Review Journal–Las Vegas.  I am so pissed (seems like I am pissed often–I guess I should go take a leak) This woman was shot in front of her kids, on the street.  Taser her, again, and again why does she have to be shot to death?  Quick draw  by the young cop and make it seem right.  The history of this family and what it went through flashing in front of them when the men in uniform with guns drawn, flash backs from the communist era country of Albania—enough, justice in Vegas–only for the few and connected–it is not justice–BS at the kindest.  Off to run the dogs, have a smile in your heart and make the changes for the better.  You know things are getting tough in Vegas regarding work when the undocumented workers are going home, not being forced to by government; no jobs.  If you share your life, recession, depression are just words–united we stand.

ANOTHER WACO?

The Warren Jeffs community is at it again.  The guy is in jail and his community of FLDS continue to grow.  The old white boys love the young virgins and they get to marry, trade them and do as they please with them.  I thought that was illegal in the U.S., but under the guise of religion anything is possible.  That is some compound that was built in the shit hole area of Texas; you know if the building is four stories high, it has to be as deep to store the food and weapons, let us see how this adventure in saving the children proceeds.  Go forth and multiply, who cares if it is incestual, there are cemetaries on the property and the outside world will never know what the inbreding has caused.  The communities are speading to rural areas in Colorado, Idaho, and Eastern Washington with the poor economy and cash rich FLDS.   I could go on, but it is just a BS and it is called religion; FLDS is just a cult for horny old men who are welfare rich.

Yes, less then 1% of the worlds population control it.  This will be a short rant about the greed in the guise of caring.  Who is in charge of feeding McCain his financial advice, because we know that McCain is a warrior not a financial whiz.  Think about his involvement in the Lincoln Savings Disaster when he was a young Senator.  Back to the man who is feeding him financial advice, Grham is his name and he pushed through legislation that kept and is still keeping secret the financial disclosures of the banking institutions that had the hand in the current real estate fiasco.  The man is on the board of the Swiss Bank USB that bought up the phony loans and now has to restructure itself for the now disclosed over $100 billion not million losses.  The shithead who is in McCain’s ear is on the Board of that bank.  The legislation went through as an ear mark to over 2000 pages of crap that went through before Congressbefore the legislators took their Christmas break.  (I love that excuse–let’s get out of here quickly)  Do I know what I am talking about–almost, but a thief is a thief no matter what one presents as caring.  Enough, this has got to be the crap that is sending us to a Depression, not Recession.  The homeless have it right, when you have nothing, you have nothing to lose.  Enough or my rant, fill me in with truths if my rant is not honest.  Greed is greed when they think they look good in a comb over hair do.  The bottom line to all this hidden shit, it was a gamble and the hedge fund boys have screwed us again.

ETHICS–NONE HERE!!!

Don’t think the Hep C, B and the HIV Virus scare is only in the Vegas and State of Nevada clinics.  Who oversees the clinics?  How many unannounced visits happen to check out the happenings in the clinics?  Maybe once every three years if it happens, that is not a secure feeling for the patients.  Nevada, wild west, Libertarian, BS.  Control of the facilities was left to the greedy MF’s that did not give a crap about anything but the almighty make more $’s.  Is that the American way, I guess so?   Check this out…Gov. Gibbons says he wants an all-out effort to prevent clinic practices linked to the Hepatitis outbreak; would have more state staffers for that effort if he hadn’t fought approval of additional medical surveyors last year.  The bottom line folks, take care of yourself and see the SHAMAN because medicine in this part of the country is BS.

Let me tell you a story of the “Dr. Desai.”  He owns the clinic that has finally been shut down and now has to give up his license to practice medicine.  1997 I had a liver biopsy performed by Dr. Desai.  I had spent some days at my brothers home swimming in his pool and exercising the dogs, so I had a speedo tan line.  I go to the hospital get nude and put the sheet over, the Doctor comes in and I can hardly understand him, his accent is so thick I really had to pay attention.  (Indian accent, slight British tilt but very thick)  He pulls back the sheet and has a panic attack, “Whut dat, whut dat, whut dat ” he screams to is Nurses Assistant.  The Nursing Assistant calmly explains, “It is a tan line Doctor.”  The Doctor had never seen a tan line and thought it was a disease.  (To him I looked yellow) No problem there, I try to contain myself but just blew it and laughed uncontrollably.  Next, the procedure; long needle to make contact with the liver, they sprayed something on my side so I would not feel the insertion of the needle, did not work, I felt it.  I turn around and the Doctor is telling the NA, he is proud of himself, “I gut it on duh fist try.”  That made me feel great, this Doctor who is scared of a tan line tells his NA, I did good. 

I think I know why the Doctors with hardly any manners own the clinics, they cannot communicate with the patients, better to own the place then have to talk.  The ramble is done and I am off to the run the dogs, beautiful day off the the Mountains, Hepatitis C free.

To Abort Or Not To Abort

Why is it that men have the say so in the reproductive rights of women?  I am not a breeder but why should men have the say so in the body that is not theirs? 

TONY BENNETT

We were fortunate to see the remarkable Tony Bennett.  Warmth and graciousness this man has; his voice was vibrant, mellow and colorful, his phrasing is remarkable and the love of what he is doing was felt by all.  The guys that were behind him were equally mesmerizing; guitar, stand up bass, drums and piano.  Go Mr. Bennett and may the love you feel be felt by many.  He is doing a gig at the Hilton, two night stand this month and back again in November.  If you want to see a living legend in fine voice, please see this man and feel his love.

HARRAHS–LAS VEGAS

What seems to be an on going “money under the table and I will look the other way” has created a big awakening in my lovely town.  The Rio and Harrahs have been doing some rehabilitative work on some of their properties with no oversight from the the building inspector.  It is known that they have done more then rehab work, they have added a few floors on the to Rio that are not up to snuff.  They have electrical and water problems and other construction no nos.  Harrahs on the STRIP had to relocate people that have been in their rooms.   One would think this town would learn about the safety factor after the big fire in the 70′s.  Everything was cool for awhile and then the “build it quickly and they will come” attitude took over.  Beyond the greed factor has taken over.  There are over 35% foreclosure of homes in this valley, come one come all there are some good deals on foreclosures.  Have a good day and hopefully the Rockies will beat the Diamondbacks.
