JACK DEL RIO SHOULD BE THE COACH OF UCLA FOOTBALL

Don’t BS–the man is good, he had no support from the owner; coaching the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars had very little quality players and he did the best he could with what he had….Come home and play your hard nose football at UCLA and not have to be grateful that UCLA lost to the Ducks by only 18..Key number in last sentence is 18–Vegas had them as a 31 point underdog; that in itself should be a non printable point spread.  Embarrassing, that is how I feel; time to get it right UCLA.  All that being said, get on the right train and let’s go UCLA, I’m ready for some hard nose, exciting football.

Done, off in this windy weather to take the dogs to the hills.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES A NEW FOOTBALL STADIUM??!!??

How long has it been since the (St Louis) Los Angeles Rams and the (Los Angeles) Oakland  Raiders played football in Los Angeles?  Massive domed stadium in downtown Los Angeles?  Football, soccer, off roading, (both cars and bikes) and other events….Yes it is needed and it will be a welcome addition Los Angeles.  What is going to be done with the Rose Bowl in Pasadena and the Coliseum in USC’s backyard?  I say hmm…

Big boys and Farmers Insurance are going to get it done, I hope.  Go L.A., you were my home for many enjoyable years, step up and force some healthy air into the new domed stadium

Good cup of coffee, off to hike with the canines and see what mischief we can get into.

BOYS ON THE FARM DO WELL!!! (STANFORD WAS SO MUCH BETTER THAN VIRGINIA TECH)

Stanford; the geeks did well.  Smart, right on football–what a refreshing game to watch last night. No matter if Mr. Luck leaves early, he is one class act and so is the entire football team.   Stanford was well coached, disciplined and humble; in other words they ‘REPRESENT’!!!  Almost Zen like in their attitude, not their winning but how good Virgina Tech was…Key word in last sentence is WAS.

Womens basketball, Mens football; show out!!!   I won on both games…No mas gambling, done…Pro games bore me.

TELL ME WHY THERE ARE SO MANY INSIGNIFICANT BOWL GAMES BEING PLAYED

What is so special in seeing a 6 & 5 team play a 6 & 6 team?  Please; in my opinion it is to keep the betting public busy, it certainly isn’t  the games themselves.   I love the names of the Bowl Games.  $$$$, is what the games are about.  Let’s be honest about the games and not really think it is about the best teams; it is a business and businesses do not like to lose, so BS the public with the smiles and play on.  Toilet Bowl should be one of the games being played today-Kansas State vs Syracuse, come on now.   Think about it, Holiday Bowl has one legitimate team, Oklahoma State, 10-3 vs Washington 6-6.  In September, Nebraska beat the crap out of Washington, 56-21.  Does one think Washington has improved to the degree of not embarrassing the game of football to participate in this game.  $ for the university, granted but please have some legitimacy for playing the game.

Done with the observation, off to run the dogs in the snow-covered Mountains.  Enjoy the games and try not to lose as much money that one can afford to lose.

Happy New Year to all!!!!

Ooops!!!  Boring but look what happened.    I  will keep some of my opinions to myself

“OUT PHYSICALING” IS IT SUCH A WORD?

University of South Carolina and University of Georgia football day, yeah!!!  Commentator for ESPN had the audacity to say “South Carolina is “out physicaling” Georgia.  Physicalism, physicality are the forms of the word physical, but don’t try to impress me with your vocabulary and just play it straight.  Handsome commentator, well attired but honey, you will not be my partner in scrabble.  Good day to be living have a great one.

REGGIE BUSH WILL GIVE BACK THE HEISMAN TROPHY=I DON’T THINK SO

USC has not had a clean football program in this or the past century; please, who has SC had to answer to?  75% of the graduates still remain in the Los Angeles area and 35-45% of those are boosters.  Take that into consideration and you have more folks on the sidelines at SC games than you have participants.  Phantom Summer jobs, come on, new homes for parents, rent paid for in homes that only the extremely wealthy could afford, new cars.  Need I say more?  Reggie Bush learned early as many have, being bought is fine as long as you keep your mouth shut.  Reggie is not the last nor is SC the only University to be somewhat embarrassed  nor will it be the last.  I would like the NCAA rules committee to check out things at Notre Dame and see what is under the robes of those brothers.

LEGEDU NAANEE=GREAT NAME!!!

San Diego Chargers have a wide receiver and his name is Legedu Naanee….Philip Rivers; quarterback to wide receiver Legedu Naanee–that’s all. I love the name, it has rhythm to the sound  and he is a good wide receiver.  I think like the Padres the Chargers are going to do well this season.  It is in the stars and the candles are lit, go Chargers and Padres.

INDIANAPPOLIS COLTS!!!!

Peyton Manning and team…Key word is team.  What a game to watch; I know  why you go for it on 4th and 2 from your own territory, no matter where you are and what distance Manning and friends have to cover, Manning and friends can do it.  New England’s defense was tired, no huddle Colts and the big boys on defense were doing some heavy breathing.  Go for it, somtimes you win and sometimes you lose, bottom line; life goes on and it was a great game to watch.  Tell me you are going to bet against Peyton, no you won’t.

UNIVERSITY OF OREGON-BLOUNT-FOOTBALL-OFF THE TEAM

What a low rent thing to do, cold cock  the guy after the game.  Mr. Blount and the rest of the Oregon football team was a no show for the game against Boise State; this fool before the greater TV audience and God, hauls off with a right cross to one of Boise States big lineman’s face and the shit happens.  How chicken shit this fool was and is, hit and run and then go after his teammates and those fans in the stand.

Quality of student athletes in the spotlight; what is the PAC 10 and the University of Oregon going to do?  If this player is not suspended he will be the number one target of abuse wherever he plays this year.  (deservedly so)

Grow up time, just because you might have a decent GPA (who knows, he can’t speak with ease) and you are a somewhat decent athlete—no mas asshole behavior and getting away with it.  My opinion–bye, bye, Mr. Blount, go play in the Canadian Football League, you can take  Pacman Jones place, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers don’t want him.

Have the best day you can beacause you never know when you might get cold cocked.
