YOU KNOW TIMES ARE TOUGH WHEN

A Reigning Mexican beauty queen from the drug-plagued state of Sinaloa was arrested with suspected gang members in a truck filled with guns and ammunition.  Miss Sinaloa 2008 Laura Zuniga stared at the ground with her dark hair concealing her face as she stood among seven gunmen lined up for photos.  I don’t think this is the way she thought things should be; sounds like a line from a song.  What a photo op, modeling the new prison garb, not fun.

They were arrested Monday at a military checkpoint just outside Guadalajara, wonder where the weapons were going?  Puerta Vallarta is down the road a ways, tourists and mucho money in the town at this time.  Imagine the impact if the gunmen had got to tourist town.

Just a little bleep that asks  the question, where did they get the weapons?  Gun show just North of the Mexico, Texas or Arizona?

SAUDI ARABIAN MEN HOLD BEAUTY PAGENT FOR SHEEP!!??!!!

If that is not a lead title to where I am going in my blog then bless all the sheep that have been sexually exploited by the robed wonders.  Please, the value of the a fine ewes (female) is $5,000- $8,000; but good rams (nice description) can fetch hundreds of thousands.  “Rams are more expensive because they can produce 100 sheep a year, while ewes can produce a couple or so”  So called beauty pageant is off limits to women;  I wonder why?  Men sit in armchairs around a tiny runway covered with red carpeting, the stench of dung fills the cool desert air as the rams and ewes are put on display.  Side bets are being made as to which among the horny sheiks are going to bid on the tallest ewe; it was going to be his for the evening and he might where a prophylactic as not to spread the inter species disease to one of his many wives.  (Again, the key word in the last sentence was “might”–the value of women in the region is less then a goat=dollar wise)

Bottom line to my meanderings is why don’t they phuque themselves instead of the sheep?  I know, if they get caught phuquing each other Allah will reign terror on them and their families–holy shit Sherlock, one could hide anything under those robes…Have a great day and be kind to your sheep.

BECKY HAMMOND WILL PLAY FOR RUSSIA IN THE OLYMPICS

Why all the  turmoil if Becky Hammond plays for Russia?  She is an excellent basketball player and was not invited by the U.S. team for a tryout, the next best thing, play for the one who pays you.  Yes, Becky plays in the WNBA, but her bread and butter professional team is in Russia.  The Russians have offered her citizenship, lots of $’s and to be part of their Olympic Basketball team.  I don’t want to hear crap that she is unpatriotic, come on think about it.  The NCAA has foreign athletes that go to school here and participate in all the athletic programs at the schools they attend offer; track, basketball, swimming, gymnastics and other sports that help their teams qualify and win at the NCAA sanctioned events.  (Don’t tell me they don’t get financial aid) The student athlete is on full scholarship and nobody complains when they help their teams to championships, but when the world championship events occurr or the Olympics come around they participate for the country of their origin and still nobody complains.  When the Olympic events are over, back to the U.S. where they reside–double standards?  Years of schooling, scholarships up the yin yang and then kiss my ass and good-bye.  (The benefits of having all the trophies in a display case is a fine way to recruit future athletes) We also have bought the citizenship of long distance runners from Ethiopia and Kenya so don’t get all bent out of shape if Becky Hammond does it for the same reasons that others do; opportunity to play and $’s.  Had to spew and it feels better. 

What about the Miss World pageants?  Both parents were born in Haiti their child was born and raised in New York, but she represents Haiti in the beauty pageant, go figure that.  Just wanted to put that in even though it means little in the real world.  What about our gymnastic team?  Russian parents, child came over to the U.S., has lived here since she was two, is she an American Citizen?  She is on the U.S. Olympic team in gymnastics and nobody says anything.  I know why, her parents are famous ex Russian gymnastic athletes and fine coaches.  Get real, the world is bought and sold, not what we want it to be.

NCAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

• It was one of the best college women’s basketball games I’ve seen.  Stanford the team, (key word in last phrase–team) beat U CON.  What a true meaning of the word team along with Candice Wiggins, what a pleasure to watch the skill, smarts and the ability to come together and win.  It takes intelligence to play the way Stanford played, I guess that is why the GPA of the athletes is more or less 3.7.  Beyond being smart, Standford changed to the triangle offense, the thought process and sharpness of their passes were just amazing.  Do  you think I like to watch good basketball?  What happened to the big game between LSU and Tennessee?  Candice Parker is hurt and still left it on the floor…What a trooper-dislocated shoulder and all.  Tuesday is the championship game and if Stanford plays the way they have been playing for the last two months, they will be the NCAA champions.  Go Stanford!!!  Off to run the dogs, have a great day because I will.  Tad more regarding LSU–no scoring, had all the opportunities to win the game and just could not get over the hump.

         Update:  Now you know that Ms. Summits teams are special, they play to their opponents weakneess, and that is just what Tennessee did.  They wooped Stanford.  Congratulations to all, Stanford will be back, they are young and only Candace Wiggins graduates this year.  Candace Parker (Miss Tennessee) will be the first pick in the WNBA draft today–Los Angeles Sparks will get the first pick and you and I know they are just drooling for the presence of Ms. Parker to join the team.  The draft is deep this year, rookies are going to make a large impact on how the game is going to be played.  Yeah for Title 9 and the greatness of women athletes!!!!  We are off to the mountains, dogs and I for an adventure.   Have to add my view on the General appearing before the Senate Committee–BS!!!  This is a no win situation and the $ that are being spent on this crap has the making of a great disaster that already have the roots planted.  Boys and their toys will be the end of this civilazation as we know it.    

LAUREN HUTTON

I was flipping through the channels before turning the TV off and on the QVC channel there was Lauren Hutton.  She looks magnificent and was selling her beauty line of make up and brushes.  “These brushes are from squirrel, beaver, pony and rabbit.”  She was so proud of the qualities of these brushes.  The fir has a uniqueness of quality for each area of the face.  I was angry after hearing this BS and sales pitch, just had to write about it.  Why not use the quality of pubic hairs and arm pit muff?  I’m sure Ms. Hutton and QVC could find a better way to hustle those that are mesmerized by being told what they need.  If you need twenty brushes and only go out after dark, what beauty secrets do you have?   Oh yes, may there be peace in my lifetime and a woman as President of the United States of America!!!!

MILAGRO–THE LOVE DADDY!!!

Pediolite and lots of love created the most generous and loving cat I have ever encountered.  The name in translation from Spanish means “miracle”, and that is what this cat is all about.  (He is the “Miracle Worker.”)   We found him in our yard, he was dropped off by the locals who knew the gringas were a tad loca and had many gatos and a few dogs.   The little guy was only about 12 days old, pink skin, very little hair and not moving; he was breathing and there was a pharmacia across the road.  Did not know what to do, the kitten was so young and I did not want to feed him cows milk.  We took a chance and got some Pediolite and started to drop some in his mouth with a eye dropper.  The little guy was responding to the Pediolite and after three weeks of liquid nourishment he crunched some dry food.  Our other cats watched with interest and finally they thought we had given them a new toy…Yes, Milagro became part of the crew and has been a nurturer to the many other kittens and cats that seem to come our way.  Milagro has been with us for sixteen years and is starting to show his age, just a tad.  The miracle that is Milagro, has given joy, security and consistent attention to those who are in need; cats, dogs and humans.  I had to write about my love for the “Daddy Do” of them all, MILAGRO–may your energy of love continue.  The black and white one is Milagro and his friend in need is Ziggy.  We have been fortunate to age with Milagro and the crew as we all reach beyond middle age; the similarities of age are there, Milagro is going through the “I forgot I ate an hour ago–feed me more. ”  The forgetfulness and kitten like attitude is where I wish to be when that time occurs for me; it might have happened already.  Have a wonderful day, enjoy what life has to offer and know it will get better with that inner glow.  Opportunistic forgetfulness, that seems to fit the situation, love bites and purring–what a sure way to ones heart.

It is now July 6th 08 and I just wanted to let you know the new eating adventures of “Mr. Milagro.”  He is sixteen years old and I think he has about 4-5 teeth left in his mouth so eating has become a chore for him and I don’t want him starve himself to death and I don’t want to be the cause of his death by starvation.  It would be different if he was ill and could not eat, his problem is gumming the food and then trying to swallow.  Enough–Milagro has been enjoying “Gerber 2nd foods”,  beef, veal, chicken and turkey and lamb.  Cats are carnivorous and he really doesn’t care for the vegetable combo.  The results of this eating endeavour is Milagro eating well, putting on weight and the energy of a young adult cat.  I am impressed with how he loves to eat his Gerber.  Just a quickie for those that are inquiring about the Daddy of all cats, “Milagro.”  His personality is still love, goofiness, and the sensuous love bites.  Everybody should have a “Milagro” in their life.

October 2nd 2008, we moved, same area just a little bigger abode.  What a fun adventure watching the animals adjust, they seem to think it is a new play area; big boxes, furniture in different places, new rooms but no outdoor adventures at this time.  Eight cats and two dogs what a joy that it is no big thing, just another adventure to them, to say the least I am pleased and the old farts, us included are content and ready to go.  Do you think I like to use the word adventure?   Every move that brings a smile and a sense of enjoyment is the kind of adventure I like.  Have the best day you can, I am and this evening I will try to watch the VP debate.  Hold back Biden and let her make known she is not kind of VP that America wants.  Marketing can only go so far, this administration has left it’s mark and it is a spot that cannot be removed quickly–we will work to make things better!!!!  Hallelujah.

March 23rd 09 and Daddy Do is a little skinnier, but still got the purr box going.  He is not as nimble but is enjoying the new energy that has infected our home.  (Happiness, more happiness)  Three new kitten/cats have become part of the household; giving some newness to the same old, same old routine.  Older cats are enjoying the goings on of the brother and sisters act.  I am off to run the dogs and straighten out all the rugs in the house.  Apparently they are like magic slide carpets for the new kitten/cats.

April 23rd, 2009 will be our last evening with “Daddy Do, Milagro”,  his kidneys have failed and he is very weak.  Miracle man has given all who have known him, his love and kindness.  Sadness is him not being here, but I know his spirit will linger with us indefinitely.  Adios my love gato, I will hear your purrs in my dreams.

Micro Dermal Abrasion–My way

You can go to a spa, medical spa, dermatologist or you can do it my way.  I found out a less expensive way of giving oneself the treatment.  I was helping a friend install tile and was using the wet saw.  I had protective goggles on, the blade was running the watering spattering as the tile was being cut.  If you do not keep the the cover on the blade the water sprays in ones face.  Picture this; minute pieces of tile, (extremely fine mind you) the water with a steady force slapping against my face it was like little pieces of sand.  (Sand blasting to be exact)  The end results; face was smooth.  Frugal way-the easy way.
